Sheraton Mountain Vista Villas, Avon / Vail Valley

I am a Marriott Bonvoy member and travel about 60 days a year. I have not stayed in a Sheraton hotel in many years but had high expectations for the $500.00 nightly rate we paid. The hotel in general is in good shape as was the room. The location was decent In terms of local bus service to BC and the underground parking was nice. When we arrived on a Friday there was a very noticeable smell in the kitchen. Once we identified the issue which was the disposal I placed a small plate over the sink opening and notified the front desk of the issue. On Saturday morning I again called the front desk to tell them of the issue. By Sunday when we checked out no one from housekeeping or engineering addressed the issue. Not a huge issue but we could not use the sink due to the smell. The main reason we wanted this hotel was for using the kitchen for meals. I would expect better service than this.

Fantastic stay for our week-long ski trip. Highly recommended for families. Hot tubs, gym, outdoor heated pool, huge game room for down time or off days. Underground parking was a huge benefit for the snowy days - no car to clean off. Ski lockers provided, free shuttle/bus in town to get around or to ski resort (Beaver Creek). Rooms are clean and have everything you need for your stay (even a humidifier can be provided if needed, which is definitely recommended for the dry winter months - we brought our own). Bedrooms are large, big bathrooms, nice kitchen with everything you’ll need. Balcony with great Mountain views, gas fireplace. Will definitely stay here on our next visit to Avon.

Had reservations and they wouldn't let me check in early or do a late check out, arrived and asked about the hot tubs which were broken so when I asked if I would be compensated for the lack of amenities they told me No. Canceled our reservations that moment because the females at the front desk were more then rude, kept speaking to eachother on Spanish as if I couldn't understand and treated us as if we were not welcome. Will never go back we ended up going to the Hyatt where the service was spectacular and the hot tubs worked great!

This hotel is beautiful and our 1 bedroom villa was great. However 2 things had a very negative impact on our stay. First as we were checking in, we were approached about attending a marketing seminar to buy into the resort. We were in Avon for a wedding and told them this and that we were not interested nor did we have the time. As we got yo our room , we received another phone call asking the same thing, then the next morning a third phone call again promoting their seminar. The second bigger issue was that we were at this hotel for 6 days and our villa was cleaned one time on the day after we arrived. At check-in the information we were given stated that guests paying nightly rate would receive every other day service to their villa. It felt like once you did not show interest in their marketing to purchase into their vacation club, the level of service you received decreased. All of this was brought to the attention of the desk clerk whose response at check-out was that we could call the housekeeping supervisor!! She also took our name and phone number and said the manager would call us. We checked out 9/13/23 and drove home to Ohio. Have heard nothing from the anyone at the hotel.

Not worth the price. The phone would ring but you couldn't always answer it. The speaker phone button would work intermittently for us to answer the phone, but the handheld part did not work in either room. The rooms were 80 degrees even after we turned the thermostat to off. 🥵🥵. There were old towels between the bed and the frame on the pull out couch. The door handle to the bedroom was broken. The window in the bedroom was broken. The top shelf in the kitchen was missing the peg that holds the shelf up and the dishes came down 😳. The ceiling fan wobbled so much we thought it was going to come down too.
